The theme of the Nice Carnival 2010 is 'sustainable development'

The 126th edition of the Nice Carnival, King of the Blue Planet will take place from 12 to 28 February 2010. An issue that evokes the history of the Earth in all its phases and meanings through the lens of ecology. For more than 15 days, the city of Nice will be abuzz this authentic and magical event! From 12 to 28 February 2010 the "King of the Blue Planet" will reign over the 126th edition of the Nice Carnival, the largest event of the Riviera in winter.

A dive to discover its history, nature and its astonishing biodiversity, to the depths and errors of Rights. Before concluding with this firm conviction: the protection of nature and its preservation is the major challenge of this century.

A carnival strong ecological attention to sustainable development - recycling workshops will be an example - but remains faithful to the spirit of this great festival. Humor, mockery and poetry will await you.

Around the Place Massena, 20 floats or burlesque parade accompanied by animation elements, troops of street arts and music groups from five continents. These corsi carnival will feel like ... initiatory travel round the world and mankind in 80 minutes!

Facing the sea, flowers as if it rained ... The grace and elegance of the flower battles with its gorgeously dressed young people remember the power of flowers.

New tanks, open 360 °, will parade along the Promenade of the English dress of pink carnations, snapdragons and mimosas which will highlight the floral heritage of the region.

Besides the festivities of the Carnival period provides a wonderful opportunity to discover Nice in winter: the mild climate, the brightness of the sky and the lifestyle of the Cote d'Azur. Natural, cultural and artistic mecca of gastronomy reveal a rich palette of emotions.
